Vice President of the Ju-Jitsu International Federation and Head of the Department of self-defence for the army, police and the security companies.

On June 16, 2012 in Madrid was held a one-day Seminar on Special Defence and on Police Intervention, organised by the JJIF under the aegis of the Federation's President Mr. Panagiotis Theodoropoulus, Dr. Tomo Borissov (PhD) - Vice-President of JJIF and Chairman of the Department of Self Defence for the Army, Police, Security Companies and the Public, and the Human Rights and Police and Military Intervention Association's President, Mr. Jose Maria Benito Garcia. In the seminar took part also Mr. Angel Luis Gimenez Bravo - Chairman of the World Human Rights and Police and Military Intervention Commission, Mr. Eugene Domogata - Technical Director of JJIF and Mr. Joachim Thumfart - Sports Director of JJIF.

Department - Self-Defence for the Army, Police and Security Companies (Security Self-Defence)

JJIF - Ju-Jitsu International Federation was established in 1977 as a European Union of the national Ju-Jitsu federations. Subsequently, in 1986 it was transformed into an International Federation. At the Federation Congress held on 26th November 2008, Tomo Borissov - President of the Bulgarian Ju-Jitsu Federation was elected Vice President of JJIF. The JJIF Board of Directors paid extremely great attention to the further promotion and mass popularisation of Ju-Jitsu not only as a sport, but also as self-defence techniques on the various continents. At one of its meetings, the Board of the Directors took a decision to establish a special department at JJIF to develop the Ju-Jitsu self-defence techniques, the so-called security self-defence, which can be practically applied in the in the training and the physical preparation of the officers at the army, police, security companies, as well as in the self-defence and enhancing the self-confidence and personal prestige of the children and citizens. As Vice President of JJIF, Tomo Borissov has been authorized to head the newly established Department of self-defence for the army, police and security companies.

In January 2012 (from 23.01. to 29.01) a JJIF Winter Camp has been organised and successfully implemented in Bansko, Bulgaria. In the events took part the President of JJIF - Mr. Panagiotis Theodoropoulus, Dr. Tomo Borissov (PhD) - Vice-President of JJIF and Head of the Department of Self Defence for the Army, Police, Security Companies and the Public, Mr. Anestis Poulikidis -President of the Greek Sport-Fan Amateur Ju-Jitsu Federation, Mr. Eugene Domagata - Technical Director of JJIF, Mr. Joachim Thumfart - Sports Director of JJIF, Mr. Eusebio Sanchez - International Instructor and many other representatives of member federations from Greece, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Algeria.

On November 1, 2011 the Bulgarian Association Alpha Club To Survive started the implementation of the Project European Youth Model Toward Active Citizenship No. 2011- 2796/001-001 YT7 CAAP7. The project funded by the Youth in Action Programme of the DG Education and Culture of the EC and of its main objectives is to promote an European Psycho Physical Model for self assertion, risk avoidance and cultivation of proactive citizenship behaviour and also to popularize the role of sports as an instrument for curbing social exclusion.

Project partners are: the First Bolivian Association of Jiu-Jitsu and Martial Arts; the Greek Sport Fan Amateur Ju-Jitsu Federation and the Jambil Regional Centre for Study of Aikido and Ju Jitsu – Kaiten.

Held at  Madrid the  International Congress on military operational procedures of 8-10 November 2013 was organized in collaboration with Mr. Jose Maria Benito Garcia / Jose Maria Benito Garcia / - Chairman of Human Rights and Police and Military Intervention Association seminar and practical exercises , which involved instructors from police and the army .

In the period between 11-17 of August on the summer camp in Bad BlankenBurg Germany a seminar was organized for special defense, which was  especially for the German police. 35 participators took part in the seminar. The course was held by m.r Eusebio Sanchez- international instructor from Spain.

During the time of the IWG 2013 in July in Cali, Columbia another official  meeting was held with the involvement of Jacques Rogger, president of the international Olympic Committee, Ron Froehlich President of the International World Games Association (IWGA), vice-president of Columbia Angelino Garzon and others.

On the 9th and 10th of February 2013 m.r P.Theodoropolus- president of the JJIF and Tomo Borissov- vice-president of the JJIF, E. Domagata- general manager of the JJIF, attented the judo tournament in Paris. The invitation came from the president of the french judo federation m.r Jean Luke Rouge.
